International Education Organizations

Network of International Education Associations (NIEA)

NIEA is an association of non-profit, non-government international education associations from countries and regions throughout the world which share a common mission to advance internationalization of higher education.

The Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA)
A membership organization formed in November 1982, is composed of institutional leaders engaged in advancing the international dimensions of higher education.

Office of International Education - University System of Georgia
The mission of the System's Office of International Education (OIE) is to strengthen the global dimensions of teaching, learning, research, and service throughout the University System of Georgia.

Academy of Educational Development
AED is an independent, nonprofit organization committed to solving critical social problems and building the capacity of individuals, communities, and institutions to become more self-sufficient.

Institute of International Education (IIE)
IIE, an independent non-profit that administers over 200 programs serving more than 20,000 individuals each year.

National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC)
The nation's oldest higher education association dedicated to supporting excellence in teaching, research and public service.

National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges (NASULGC)- Commission on International Programs (CIP)
seeks to incorporate a global dimension into the learning, discovery, and engagement activities of NASULGC members. It also supports initiatives in Congress, federal agencies, and multilateral development banks to enlarge the international component of academic exchanges, research, and development programs.


Association of International Educators (NAFSA)
Association of International Educators is a member organization promoting international education and providing professional development opportunities to the field.


Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE)
CIEE creates and administers programs that allow high school and university students and educators to study and teach abroad.

Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES)
has helped administer the Fulbright Scholar Program, the U.S. government's flagship academic exchange effort, on behalf of the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

The Fulbright Association
The Fulbright Association is the membership organization of Fulbright alumni.

American Council on Education (ACE)
ACE serves as a consensus leader on key higher education issues and seeks to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives.

IREX is an international nonprofit organization providing leadership and innovative programs to improve the quality of education, strengthen independent media, and foster pluralistic civil society development.

Meridian International Center is a non-profit institution that promotes international understanding through the exchange of people, ideas and the arts.

Americans for UNESCO
Americans for UNESCO (AU) is dedicated to preserving and invigorating global cooperation in education, science, and culture as remedies to the brutalities and tragedies of war, poverty, injustice and ignorance.
