About the Competition

What is Metro Atlanta Academic WorldQuest?
Metro Atlanta Academic WorldQuest is a high school team competition that tests contestants’ knowledge of international topics including World Affairs, Geography, International Financial Institutions, the Global Market Place, Current Events and more.

Winners from this competition will represent Metro Atlanta and compete with at least 46 teams from across the country at the national competition in Washington D.C.

Who Can Participate?
Teams of interested high school students. A team consists of four high school students from grades 9-12. Teams may be accompanied by a faculty coach.

What is the competition like?

The competition will involve ten rounds of ten multiple choice questions each. Answer sheets are submitted following each round and the team with the highest overall points wins the “Metro Atlanta WorldQuest High School Championship” and represents Metro Atlanta at the national competition.

Prizes:
Medals and trophies will be awarded to the best participating schools. Students going to the national competition will be sponsored and Certificates of Participation will be awarded to all participating schools.
